The search for landmarks in Mid-Missouri helped me discover a few things that I had never seen before and a few areas I had never seen.  I had no idea the historical society was located out by Bearfield and I had never been down to the Capen Park mulch site before.  Even with careful planning on the routs to take, the journey was an arduous one.  We went to 25 of the sites, and it very easily took us three to four hours.  The subterranean storage facility was probably the most interesting facet of the treasure hunt.  I had no clue it existed and was fascinated by the cool temperatures that were in there.  Even on a hot day this previous week, the temperature was pleasurable.  I also enjoyed seeing the many different types of places people practice religion in.  I had only ever been to a Catholic church in Columbia, and I knew the Islamic temple existed, but I was surprised with the diversity of this city.  The uploading of the pictures was nightmarish as Flickr refused to work and Picassa worked, but it was a constant struggle.
